Terry Canales experienced the high-stakes working environment of a courtroom from an early age. Coming from a family of law practitioners, Terry spent much of his childhood surrounded by trial lawyers and courtroom officials, which–in turn, introduced him to the practicalities of the legal system.
After graduating from St. Mary’s University School of Law, Terry began learning every facet of operating a legal practice from some of the best practitioners in the industry until it was time to open his own firm. He quickly earned a reputation as a true trial lawyer by refusing to settle cases behind closed doors and always taking the opportunity to argue a case in front of a jury.
After years of successfully upholding the law in the courtroom, Terry Canales shifted his attention to a different type of public service. After a bit of persuasion from his wife Erica, Terry ran a successful campaign to become a member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 40. His continued service in public office has given Terry Canales a deeper working knowledge of the creation and application of the law that few other lawyers are privileged enough to experience.
Terry Canales has spent years earning the trust of his clients and the community he serves. Together we can continue that tradition of dedicated service and the preservation of justice.
